The Shady Trees

Northern Vermonts Funky Reggae Rock Blend

Formed in the heart of Lamoille County, Vermont, in 2013, The Shady Trees have carved out a sound that is as rugged and soul-stirring as the Green Mountains themselves. Described as "Northeast Mountain Music," their style is an energy-rich blend of funk, reggae, rock, and a hint of barn-stomping twang.

The band's core is built on the brotherly chemistry of Jesse and Micah Sanguedolce, whose "guitar-monies" and vocal harmonies are anchored by the tight, explosive rhythm section of Jason Whipkey on bass and Zack Alario on drums. With deep roots in the Vermont music scene, the four-piece is known for high-energy live performances that bridge the gap between polished originals and improvisational jams.

After more than a decade of touring regional favorites like Stowe Resort, Zenbarn, and Jay Peak Resort the band is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album slated for release in early 2026.
